Like a critical stage in a butterflies life, Transcend, depicts a significant transformation taking place. In an alien landscape there is an intense feeling of detachment from society as a figure separates from a web of illusive concepts. Displaying stress while striving for freedom, the figure is still blind to the warm glow that is melting the web.

Courage enables the strength to change a portrait, but first the previous one must be purified and primed. Through the process of purification, things that were once concealed begin to come out of the shadows, and like the snake that sheds its skin, old beliefs and blockages are shed. Limitless Life is unveiled through the remembrance of infinite life.

The lion gently but sternly takes the tail out of the dragon’s mouth, breaking the cycle and transforming creation. In doing so, it wakes up the phoenix. Out from the dark cave depths the dragon is now displayed under the fiery wing of the phoenix, and powerful change takes place. Into the black hole, EVERYTHING GOES, except for the phoenix who rises above to create anew.
